Jesus Our Brother and A Happy Marriage

An exceptional insight into Jesus Christ, His Church, and marriage. I highly recommend it to all.

The Home Mission

Jesus is our brother (Romans 8:29; Hebrews 2:11).

Why is that important?

Well, there are a lot of reasons, but my point will be limited to the scope of this blog.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Christians, of every denomination that I’m aware of, have a tendency to ignore the humanity of Jesus. We seem to think His sufferings, His temptations, His endurance of hardship and His life in our world were little more than an example laid down for our benefit. We assume that it was not a real struggle of a real man but that it was just a matter of course. Jesus wasn’t human the same way we are, after all.

If that is so, then Jesus was an…

  1. Jesus was indeed A MAN. If not then He was not truly the Messiah. There is no need for Jesus to be more than a man,Oneness teaches the sin of man was SO GREAT God had to become a man in order to save us.Have you ever asked yourself “where does the Bible teach that”? the answer is NO WHERE.The problem is we have a hard time believing a man can be pure and sinless and still be A MAN.Do we forget Adam was a perfect sinless MAN? Romans 5 teaches it was BY MAN sin entered, think about it,a perfect sinless MAN brought in sin.Can God create another sinless man to become the sacrifice? Sure he can and HE DID!..Is Jesus not called the only BEGOTTEN? Does not Romans teach Jesus was MADE from the seed of David? Was not Moses told God would raise up a Prophet LIKE MOSES? was Moses more than human?..How about David, was He not told that God would set upon a throne on of his descendants?..The NT teaches Jesus was A MAN and looking at the original language the word man means ANTHROPOS (human being) where are we authorized to make the meaning of the word MAN more than by saying He also had a dual nature? If Jesus was more than a man then He was NOT a man..100% man means you are 100% man does it not?..Oneness and Trinitarian have de humanized Jesus by assigning him a tittle He never claimed for Himself..GOD..Did God have to become a man?..No..Did He ever say that He would in the OT?..No..did the Jews expect God to be His own Messiah? Jesus just a mere man?..No..He is a perfect sinless anointed appointed and highly exalted man..that is far from than being a mere man..

    • Thanks for the reply, Steven.

“…Is Jesus just a mere man?..No..He is a perfect sinless anointed appointed and highly exalted man..”

What an excellent statement! I really wish people would accept at face value what the Scriptures say about Jesus without putting God’s Word through philosophical filters to get It to agree with them.
